Our Mission
Our Phoenix One® Paulownia Tree Plantations not only fulfil the carbon mitigation obligations of everyone involved with them; they are also highly profitable and at the same time fully compliant with 12 of the 17 UN Sustainability Goals. This demonstrates our commitment to delivering a multitude of positive impacts for the environment, society, and the economy, extending beyond the mere absorption of CO2. In addition to the significant effects of carbon sequestration, our plantation projects yield the following direct outcomes and benefits:
- To enhance India's tree cover in accordance with the Paris Convention;
- Mitigate pressure on existing forests in India and numerous other countries worldwide;
- Substantially elevate farmers' income through assured sales prices for the resulting wood, along with increased returns from their land and labor, including intercropping within the plantations. In a prospective example project, 87,626 farmers will initially be involved, with an estimated growth to 639,521 farmers by 2044, each earning over Rs. 10 Lac within every 7 years, utilizing just 630 m² of their land;
- Emphasise the inclusion of small, marginal, and landless farmers, as well as women and individuals with disabilities;
- Implement Training & Support Programs to enhance the skillset of farmers and staff;
- Strengthen food security, especially in rural areas;
- Boost financial empowerment within local communities;
- Enhance soil quality, making it ideal for land and land reclamation;
- Produce the world's lightest hardwood, thereby stabilising and enhancing the productivity of various wood-based industries by providing hardwood with extraordinary properties;
- Generate thousands of additional jobs, including opportunities in rural areas and small-scale industries;
- Reduce the country's foreign exchange loss (currently importing wood worth more than 60,000 Crore annually) and yield several other positive benefits.
